About Me
Born and raised in northeastern Kenya, I spent my formative years immersed in the region’s vibrant culture. After completing high school, I relocated to Nairobi like any other child from the Asal region for higher education. My academic journey began with an associate degree from Mount Kenya University, followed by a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi. My passion for community service led me to work as a substitute teacher in Nairobi schools. End of 2013, I embarked on a new chapter in the United States. Here, I pursued my dream of serving underserved populations. My nonprofit career began at Puget Sound Sage, where I worked tirelessly as an Interfaith Economic Justice Organizer, advocating for minimum wage rights in Greater Seattle. This role allowed me to utilize my language skills and dedication to social justice.
