Our goal is to help immigrants and refugees adjust to life in the United States.
Partner In Employment works to guarantee the long-term economic stability of newly arrived refugees and immigrants in King County. PIE achieves this in multiple ways:
- Intensive Individual Case Management
- Job Readiness Training
- Training Programs for Youth & Adults
- Wraparound Support Programs
- Partnerships with labor unions, employers and community organizations
PIE’s case managers help guide our clients through the American system with tailored support services, financial and job placement assistance, and cultural knowledge along the way.
Wraparound Support Programs & Partnerships
PIE helps our clients find jobs in various ways and developed a one-stop-shop platform for union jobs called the Virtual Hiring Hall in collaboration with MLK Labor and local labor unions.
PIE partners with labor unions, employers, and community organizations. We provide high quality, no cost services to employers to help them recruit reliable, hardworking employees to meet the needs of their businesses. These partnerships help streamline the hiring process for employers and workers.
We recruit and support qualified candidates from the communities we serve, and offer on-going assistance to newly-hired employees as they settle into their new roles. We work with employers to mitigate and resolve any questions or problems that may arise and ensure we are working in partnership with employers to foster a healthy and safe environment for our workers.
What does success look like?
PIE’s employment team helps place clients in jobs with a focus on “good jobs” which are often represented by unions. These jobs offer competitive wages and benefits. These jobs are in many fields including: Aviation, Green Jobs, Health Care, Manufacturing, Sales, Social Services, Food Service and Processing, Retail, Hospitality, and Driving.
With our personalized guidance, PIE’s clients are reaching for the American dream, finding a place in economic, social, and cultural life of their adopted home.
